Agreements of Purchase and Sale
Breach of contract claims can be highly complex and can arise in a variety of situations where one party fails to fulfill their obligations under a contract. This can occur in a wide range of legal agreements, including contracts related to real estate transactions, employment agreements, sales contracts, construction agreements, and more.
For example, if a homebuyer enters into a contract with a seller to purchase a home. The contract specifies that the seller will provide certain disclosures about the property’s condition, and that the buyer will have the opportunity to conduct a home inspection.
If the seller fails to provide the required disclosures, or if the home inspection reveals significant issues with the property, the buyer may be able to bring a breach of contract claim. In this case, the buyer could seek damages to compensate them for any costs associated with the inspection, as well as any losses incurred as a result of the seller’s failure to fulfill their obligations under the contract.
When a breach of contract occurs, the injured party may be entitled to a range of legal remedies to compensate them for their losses. These remedies can include damages for economic losses, such as lost profits or other monetary losses, as well as non-economic losses, such as emotional distress or harm to reputation.
